FILTER announce "Make America Hate Again" tour. New single "Take Me To Heaven" available now

Reconstruction requires deconstruction. The institutions must be razed in order to clear space for the future to flourish. You tear down the old and build up the new. Filter founder, singer, guitarist, and producer Richard Patrick knows this dance well. It’s what established the group as a multiplatinum industrial alternative luminary, and it catalyzed their seventh full-length album, Crazy Eyes [Wind-up Records].

Following the arrival of their brash and urgent new single, "Take Me To Heaven" and album announcement via Billboard, Filter keep fans satisfied with news of a forthcoming US tour, "Make America Hate Again." Featuring Orgy, Vampires Everywhere and Death Valley High, the tour sees frontman Richard Patrick bring Filter's electric live show back to audiences across the country.

“Filter is the mind,” he exclaims. “It’s your interpretation or my interpretation. Our thing is to look at people’s unexplainable behavior and assess it, using sound. It’s a way to approximate the insanity of the human condition. The reason this record is so fucking heavy and strange is it’s exactly the opposite of what’s popular. It’s not pretty. It’s not cute. It’s real.”

"Crazy Eyes" is due for release April 8, 2016 via Wind-up Records.

COLOUR OF NOISE Announce New Single And March 2016 UK Tour with Toseland

UK rockers Colour of Noise will be supporting Toseland on tour this March, kicking off March 16 at The Hope in Brighton and will be releasing their new single ‘Can You Hear Me’ on Friday 26th February.

Colour of Noise are a classic rock band from Brighton England who released their debut album in the Autumn of 2015 following a very successful Pledge campaign, following appearances with Thunder, Dead Daisies and played various festivals including Download, Planet Rockstock and Steelhouse.

The band features Bruce Dickinson who you may remember as the Guitar player in Little Angels, Matt Mitchell the singer from Furyon, Randy Nixon (Magic Bullet/Jeevas), Dan Electro (Magic Bullet Band) and Silent Ben Daniel on bass.

Colour of Noise use vintage equipment and record in a traditional way, are suspicious of technology, love tape and valves, but on the other had are too experimental to get hung up on that. The debut album encapsulates the spirit of 70’s stadium rock but is a very much a record for our times made by people who have lived, breathed and will die making traditional hard rock n roll. The blues is the backbone to every song. There are no ballads in a Colour of Noise set.

Matt Mitchell comments "We're excited to get back out on the road this March with our friends Toseland. It's great to be out so quick again after our last UK tour. It’s amazing that two bands can make their way in rock n roll without the need for any record label, and having that direct relationship with the people who come and see us live and buy the records. For me personally it’s such an unexpected joy to be making a noise again in 2016 and to think we can do this in such a spirit of community, shared love of music , with no real commercial distractions- It's gonna be two high energy bands giving it all. We look forward to catching up with fans and friends, and making new ones - good times!"

KILLING JOKE unveil brand new video from ‘PYLON’ which yielded their highest chart position in over 20 years

Killing Joke unveil the new video for ‘Euphoria’ from latest studio album, ‘Pylon’:

Killing Joke’s ‘Pylon', released on Spinefarm Records, debuted at #16, the band’s highest official UK chart entry in 21 years and their third highest ever.

The Euphoria video, produced by Craig Gowans, features live footage from Killing Joke’s most recent headline UK tour at the tail end of 2015, and follows the animism theme of the song, dealing with man’s connection to the universe and relationship with nature.

Following an avalanche of critical acclaim, Killing Joke’s Pylon featured heavily in the critics’ End Of Year polls for 2015, including Rolling Stone Magazine, Classic Rock, Metal Hammer and Vive Le Rock, who made it their Album Of The Year.

Pylon was produced in the UK and Prague by the band and Tom Dalgety, whose credits include the hugely successful Royal Blood album, and isn’t designed to accompany a quiet night at home in front of the fire; Pylon is very much music as ritual – raw, uncompromising and precisely-targeted lyrically, with the artwork put together by regular band associate Mike Coles, the designer behind the very first KJ album.

Killing Joke are now delivering the best and most relevant material of their career, with no mellowing or softening of the edges, and with the original line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth & Big Paul continuing to hold firm; with so much wind in their sails, 2016 promises to be an exciting new chapter for this unique band…

‘The gods of relentless are back and here they are at their most relentless. Pylon is yet another instalment in this engaging and strange story, and a place to get truly lost in.’

Werewolf Press launches with Realm Of The Damned graphic novel in May

Serialisation to run in Judge Dredd magazine from February 13, 2016

Former Candlelight label owner , October File bassist and Plastic Head kingpin Steve Beatty, is set to launch his new graphic novel publishing company with the release of ‘Realm Of The Damned – Tenebris Deos’ a Black Metal-infused gothic horror series, written by Alec Worley and drawn by Simon “Pye” Parr (2000 AD) on Friday May 13, 2016.

‘Realm Of The Damned’ is set in a dystopian world run by vampires and, to make things worse, the most brutal vampire ever is brought back to life.

There’s no one left to protect us from what lurks in the dark. There’s no Hellboy, no Mulder and Scully, no Torchwood or Men in Black coming to save us. The monsters have won. Our world now belongs to them…

The Vatican’s last line of paranormal defence – The Congregation – has finally been overrun by the supernatural forces of darkness. Our heroes are all dead, only the damned remain Among them is Alberic Van Helsing – addict, murderer, survivor – and the creatures that were once his prey now hunt him across America. But when an apocalyptic evil is resurrected in the forests of Norway, it falls to Van Helsing to become the hunter once again if mankind and monster alike are to see the dawn.

Van Helsing’s quest for salvation and survival takes him through the ruins of a neo-gothic Europe, where he must face the vampire queen of the Vatican, a man-made monster with the heart of a storm, the lycanthropic lord of the forest, the mummified ruler of the slums of Cairo, and the crazed vampire demi-god who threatens to devour them all.

This is Realm of the Damned: Tenebris Deos, a graphic novel of pure Black Metal horror that unleashes classic gothic monsters on a modern rampage of redemption and damnation. Raw, fast-paced and bristling with atmosphere, this is a bloody and blasphemous epic that leaves no church unburned. Featuring appearances from Behemoth, Emperor and Mayhem. Realm of the Damned will debut in the Judge Dredd Megazine #369 on February 17, 2016 The eight-part series will be a hit with all fans of the horror genre as well as legions of heavy metal fans, and is another strong new series for the Megazine. With Parr’s gruesome and gory visuals and Worley’s in-your-face script, Realm of the Damned is the comic your mother warned you about!

Available from all good comic book stores worldwide and newsagents in the UK, as well as digitally from 2000 AD’s webstore. ‘Werewolf Press’ will release the first instalment of four ‘Realm Of The Damned’ books, Tenebris Deos, on the deathly Friday the 13th of May, 2016. Be afraid, be very afraid…

RICKY WARWICK DISCUSSES WHY HE DECIDED TO RECORD TWO ALBUMS IN NEW TRAILER

Black Star Riders frontman Ricky Warwick is set to release not one but TWO solo albums next month. The electrifying 'When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues)' and the beautifully acoustic 'Hearts On Trees' will be released as a double CD on 26th February 2016 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. We wondered why Ricky decided on recording two separate albums, which he discusses in today's new album trailer:

Warwick released the title track from the electric album, 'When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues)' recently, which fans can hear over on YouTube:

The artwork for the double albums reflect the tone of each - ‘When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues)’ showcases the electric rock and roll side of Ricky, whilst 'Hearts On Trees' veers more towards tender stripped-back songwriting, influenced by both Americana and, more importantly, Ricky's Northern Irish roots.

Ricky explains: "Hearts On Trees and When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues) were written by myself and my good friend Sam Robinson, both albums depict our experiences of growing up and coming from the Greater East Belfast area, not only experiences that have happened to us but historical references and stories that have been told to us by friends and family...in saying that both albums translate those experiences on to a global scale that hopefully anyone geographically can relate to.”

The release boasts an array of acclaimed musicians with guests such as; Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy/Black Star Riders), Andy Cairns (Therapy?), Billy Morrison (Billy Idol), Nathan Connolly (Snow Patrol), Ginger Wildheart, Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers), Richard Fortus (Guns ‘N’ Roses/The Dead Daisies) and Mark Thwaite (The Mission, Peter Murphy).
